Hoping to make an unlikely run to the NCAA Tournament, the Pitt Panthers tangle with Notre Dame this afternoon in their ACC Tournament opener. Pitt comes into the game seeded 13th, with a 17-14 record but only 8-12 in the conference. Notre Dame is seeded 12th despite a 14-17 record. The Irish were also 8-12 in the ACC.

Pitt’s Jaland Lowe was named All-ACC third team yesterday, and the Panthers’ Zack Austin was named to the ACC All-Defensive team.
