Several businesses and organizations are putting together collection efforts to help those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Penn Mechanical and Shadco have set up efforts to send a truck full of items to assist with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The Ox Hill Fair wants to help in the effort by holding a collection effort at the Teddy Bear Fund Drive Benefit Tractor Pull this Saturday. Canned foods, cereal, oatmeal, pasta, rice, peanut butter, hygiene and household items and other non-perishable items will be accepted.
Seeds of Faith Christian Academy have set up collection boxes outside the school to collect items that will go to Tennessee. They are looking for bottled water, new or gently used clothing for adults and kids, basic and baby hygiene items, basic first aid supplies along with food and toys. The last day to drop off items for this drive is tomorrow.
And Pudliners in Armagh is teaming with TAI cheerleaders to collect items like propane tanks, tents, kerosene heaters, sleeping bags, tools, and other supplies. They will accept donations until Monday. Financial donations are also being accepted to buy power generators.
