Traffic will be heavy throughout Indiana and especially around the IUP campus on Monday when the Donald Trump campaign rally is held at the KCAC. IUP plans to hold classes as usual, but there will be parking restrictions in place in the campus area and the increased amount of traffic is expected to clog the streets of the borough. PennDOT electronic signs on the approaches to Indiana advised Saturday that Wayne Avenue will be closed Monday evening, further adding to the gridlock.
Doors will open at the KCAC at 3 o’clock, with Trump scheduled to appear at 7.
The Indiana Area School District will have a three-hour early dismissal in order to avoid the school buses getting tied up in gridlocked traffic.
