IUP coach Paul Tortorella might have to take a body count before he opens practice for Saturday’s game at Millersville. On last night’s Hawk Talk on Renda Digital TV and U92, he said that as they walked off the field after beating Lock Haven last Saturday, IUP had only half of its starters healthy enough to play. The injured included his starting quarterback, Karst Hunter, his top running back, Adam Houser, and his best wide receiver, Hilton Ridley, along with plenty of others.
Tortorella says participation in practice will be a key in determining whether a player can take the field at Millersville.
IUP is 2-0 and Millersville is 0-2, but the Marauders are a stronger team when they play at home, so Tortorella expects a tussle.
Saturday’s game at Millersville kicks off at 2.
