UPDATE (as of 3:39 PM)
Troopers are continuing to investigate a bomb threat at Penns Manor Area School District in Indiana County after a note was found in a Junior/Senior High School bathroom earlier today.
Following a sweep conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Emergency and Special Operations Explosives Detection K9 Unit, no explosive devices were found.
As the investigation continues, anyone with information is encouraged to contact Troop A, Indiana at 724-357-1960.
UPDATE (as of 12:12 PM)
State police are investigating the bomb threat reported this morning within the Penns Manor School District.
Members from the Troop A barracks and the Criminal Investigation Unit were summoned to the junior/senior high school after a note was found in a bathroom indicating there was a bomb in the building.
As of 12:12 this afternoon, no explosive devices were found, however, troopers are still investigating.
Students from all buildings have been dismissed.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Students at the Penns Manor School District were evacuated after a bomb threat was reported this morning.
In a text sent to parents, district officials say a note was found indicating a bomb in one of the buildings. Students were evacuated to Pat Corrigan Field and high school students were dismissed around 11:15 a.m. Elementary students will be released at 12:15.
State police are investigating the matter further. Once we hear more information, we will pass it along to you.
