Indiana County first responders dealt with downed power lines, vehicle accidents and other calls for service over the last 24 hours.
Three calls for downed power lines were reported since yesterday morning, with the first being at 8:30 AM in Washington Township that brought Creekside fire department out. The second was at 3:06 PM along Hilltop Road in Center Township. Homer City fire department was dispatched. And at 3:38 PM, Glen Campbell fire crews were sent to Route 286 in Montgomery Township for a similar call.
A vehicle accident was reported on Route 286 West in Center Township at 8:59 PM. Aultman and Homer City fire crews were dispatched at the time along with Citizens Ambulance and State Police. Officials with Aultman fire department said a vehicle went off the side of the road and rolled onto its side after hitting an embankment. There were no injuries and one person trapped in the car was able to get out on their own.
Plumville fire crews were called out at 4:09 this morning for a vehicle fire on Stephenson Road in West Mahoning Township. Crews were on the scene for about an hour.
And there were two automatic fire alarms reported along South 6th Street in Indiana Borough. Indiana Fire Association members were called out at 11:21 last night and at 3:15 this morning. Indiana firefighters were also called out for traffic control with Indiana Borough Police at 3:30 PM on North 4th Street.
