Altoona scored one run in the first and another in the second, but was held in check the rest of the game on Thursday and fell to Portland, 4-2.
Matt Fraizer drove in the Curve’s first run in the first with a sac fly, then Yoyner Fajardo added their final run with a single in the second.
Anthony Solometo returned from a stint in Low-A Bradenton and allowed two earned runs in one-and-two-thirds innings. Grant Ford was dealt the loss.
Game five of the series is Friday evening in Portland.
