Drivers in Indiana Borough will see some road work continuing tomorrow evening.
PennDOT crews will resume resurfacing South 7th Street between Locust and Wayne Avenues and South 7th and South Street starting at 6 PM tomorrow and running through 6 AM Saturday. During that time, traffic will be restricted to one lane through the work zone with flaggers present. Traffic along Wayne Avenue remains restricted to one lane in each direction with an 11-foot width restriction between Hospital Road and Maple Street.
Carter Avenue remains closed from Wayne Avenue to South 7th Street for the ongoing structure replacement project. The road is expected to reopen August 16, just before the Indiana County Fair. A detour is set up through South 6th Street to Indian Springs Road and Wayne Avenue. Drivers heading to Hospital Road through the southbound lane on Wayne Avenue will need to take an alternate road using Pratt Drive.
The $11.9 million project is expected to be complete in October.
