Patricia Lou (Coup) Hainaut, 88, of Blairsville, PA died on Sunday, May 12, 2024, in the at Communities of Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Martin V. and Thelma A. (Frye) Coup, she was born on December 29, 1935, in Brush Valley Township, Indiana County, PA., and was raised on the Old Home Manor Estate.
Pat was a graduate of Armagh High School, Class of 1953. After graduation she worked as a legal secretary. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, New Florence, where she helped with the church fish fries.
She enjoyed ceramics, sewing and baking.
Surviving are two children, Carolyn G. Hainaut of Blairsville, and Thomas W. Hainaut (Lisa) of Blairsville, two grandchildren, Patrick McKinney (Kara) and Brandon McKinney; three great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Elijah, and Isabel; her sister, Carol Overdorff (Ray) of Hollidaysburg; several nieces and nephews and her four footed buddy, Frosty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 63 years, William J. “Bill” Hainaut on December 9, 2020.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 AM with Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery.
