Homer-Center senior Meegan Williams signed her National Letter of Intent this week to attend Saint Vincent College in Latrobe and continue her volleyball career. Williams plans to major in nursing.
Meegan was one of the key components who helped the Homer-Center volleyball program through its most successful period ever, including back-to-back Heritage Conference Championships, three straight appearances in the District 6 Class A Championship game, and even saw the team claim it’s first PIAA playoff victory.
Williams leaves Homer-Center as the first and only player amassing 1,000 kills, finishing her career with 1,145. She was a four-time representative on the PIAA District 6 Class A First Team, and was named three times to the PA Volleyball Coaches Association Class A All-State Team. She has spent the last several years playing club volleyball for a pair of organizations, The Westmoreland Elite Volleyball Club and this past season with The Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball Association.
