Two people were sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court yesterday.
28-year-old Brandon Restauri of Hooversville in Somerset County pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in a case that goes back to June 26th of last year. Other charges including two counts of careless driving, and summary driving offenses were not prosecuted as part of the plea deal, and a charge of aggravated assault by vehicle was dismissed prior to the plea agreement. He was ordered to five years of probation, including one year of house arrest with electronic monitoring.
Also sentenced yesterday was Kevin Cooper of Seward. The 33-year-old man pleaded guilty last month to a charge of prohibited possession of a firearm. He was placed on probation of three years, including six months of house arrest.
