State Police are getting ready to hold an Operation Safe Trailer event on Saturday, May 4th.
The event is designed to help increase highway safety before the busy summer travel season. At the event, troopers with the Troop A Motor Carrier Enforcement Weight Detail will inspect small commercial vehicles up to 20,000 pounds, and trailers, landscape-type trailers, motor homes, RV’s and campers. The program will also offer guidance on proper towing, vehicle weight, brakes, safety chains, lighting equipment, and securing loads properly. Troopers will also be available to assist guests with completing the necessary forms to request replacement of their peeling or illegible Pennsylvania license plates.
Appointments are not required. The event is free and open to the public and will be held May 4th at the White Township Rec Complex in White Township from 9 AM to 1 PM.
