A slugfest for IUP baseball, which scores 10 runs in the 5th inning to down Wheeling, 16-12. It was the Crimson Hawks’ 7th straight win. Andrew Sicinski had three hits and Davin Landers and Peyton Johnson each had two. Landers and Harrison Pontoli each homered.
IUP softball split a doubleheader with Clarion, with the Crimson Hawks winning the first game 10-2 but losing the second game, 6-4. The second game loss snapped a 55-game IUP winning streak against the Golden Eagles, going back to 2008.
IUP golf finishes second by three strokes to UPJ at the Bedford Invitational. IUP’s Shaun Fedor finished third overall and was joined in the top ten by Alex Swinnerton, Guillermo Salazar, and Cameron Gerue. West Chester, Bloomsburg, and St. Francis were the other teams in the tournament.
