Officials with the IRMC Auxiliary have announced the first recipient of the inaugural volunteer scholarship.
According to a news release, Peyton Duffey, a senior at River Valley High School, was selected as the first recipient of the scholarship that was established for volunteers who plan on pursuing a healthcare-related career.

Applicants must have served 50 volunteer hours at IRMC and participate in a 12-credit program.
Duffey is a junior volunteer and plans to attend Gannon University upon graduation to become a physician assistant. She was presented with the scholarship award by IRMC Auxiliary President Brenda Lonetti at their annual Volunteer Luncheon at the Hilton Garden Inn last Thursday.
