Tristan Broz, who scored two overtime game-wining goals for the University of Denver on its way to the NCAAA Tournament championship, has signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The 21-year-old Broz was the Pens’ second round draft choice in 2021, a draft in which they did not have a first round selection. He will join Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for their regular season finale and then the AHL Calder Cup playoffs next week. Broz scored 16 goals with 24 assists for Denver this season.
Broz signed a three-year entry level contract that will take effect with the start of next season. He will join Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on an amateur tryout contract for the remainder of this season.
