Quinn Priester struggled in his season debut last night at PNC Park and the Pirates mustered only four hits in a 8-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox.

On the Pirates injury front, catcher Jason Delay is expected to miss six weeks after undergoing knee surgery this week. LHP Marco Gonzales will resume throwing in a couple weeks, but Director of Sports Medicine Todd Tomczyk said surgery is “not being considered” at this time. He has been out since April 14 with a left forearm strain.
Reliever Aroldis Chapman reached an agreement with MLB regarding his suspension for actions in Monday’s game against New York. It was reduced to one game and he served it last night.
