The Indiana County Humane Society is gearing up for one of its annual fundraising events that will be held today at the Jimmy Stewart Airport.
The “Dawg Gone Live Auction” will take place this morning in the Innovative Aviation Hangar and proceeds from the auction will benefit the humane society. Those in attendance will be able to bid on different kinds of antiques, such as oil paintings, household furniture, jewelry, and classic Barbie and Shirley Temple dolls.
Beth Finegan with the Indiana County Humane Society said having a live auction is unique since most events today are held virtually, and she talked about where the idea came from.
Things get underway at 9 o’clock with a preview of items up for bid and the live auction will follow at 10. Food will be available for purchase but those planning on attending are asked to bring a lawn chair.
