The Indiana County Commissioners will meet today, and two Indiana County high school sports teams will be honored for their achievements this year.
Both the Marion Center girls basketball team and the Indiana Swimming and Diving Team will be given proclamations for their accomplishments during the post-season. The Lady Stingers racked up a record of 24-6, which included an appearance in the PIAA championship against Kennedy Catholic who pulled out the win in the final seconds of the game.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Swimming and Diving Team became the fourth team in Indiana County history to win a PIAA Championship. En route to the title, the boys broke eight Indiana School records.
Also on the proposed agenda for today, is a funding agreement for the Route 22 Pedestrian-Bicyclist Bridge and a cooperation agreement concerning the Central Allegheny Challenger Learning Center.
The meeting will be held in Courtroom 1 at the Indiana County Courthouse at 10:30 today. And the Marion Center Girls team will be guests on Indiana in the Morning at 9:45.
