Another person who led police on a chase is due for a preliminary hearing today.
In another case, 27-year-old Tianna Deyarmin is due for a preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated assault with the intent to cause serious bodily injury, fleeing or eluding police, evading arrest on foot, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, and driving on a suspended license for the incident on March 7th. Police say that Indiana County Sheriff’s deputies were assisting a man reportedly in distress in a truck on the side of the road when she got in the driver’s side. She was later recognized by a state trooper, who said she was wanted on warrants. She then sped off along Beech Street, with police trailing her. During the chase, she allegedly drove through several yards and hit a fence. Police said she also hit a police cruiser while she drove in reverse. The chase ended when she drove into a grassy area near Power Plant Road. After bailing out of the car, troopers caught up with both people at a nearby home.
Her hearing is set for 10:15 this morning before District Judge Susanne Steffee. Since her arrest, she has been in Indiana County Jail on $150,000 bail.
