Along with the vehicle fire we reported in White Township on Monday, first responders were kept relatively busy with some calls across the county.
Crews from the Commodore fire department were dispatched at 8:58 yesterday to help direct traffic around a flooded portion of Route 286 East. As of this morning, 511PA.com reports that the road is clear and open for normal travel.
A brush fire was also reported yesterday at 8:32 PM on Hill Drive in Burrell Township. Black Lick, Blairsville and Coral fire departments were initially dispatched, but Black Lick fire officials said that everyone was cancelled as it was a controlled burn. This marks the 24th brush fire call for Indiana County in 2024.
