On Monday, the Purchase Line School Board approved hiring two people to be co-principals for the junior-senior high school.
Jessica Lindsay and Dawn Ambrisco were hired retroactive to March 25th and will keep the position until the end of the fiscal year or until a new principal is hired. Superintendent Patricia Berezansky said that the reason why they hired two principals is because the two can split their duties along with doing their normal duties in the district as the director of curriculum and innovation and special education coordinator respectively.
She says that the search for a new full-time principal is going well, and they hope to have a candidate hired in May.
In other business, the board approved the ARIN IU operating budget, which comes to over $7.7 million. Purchase Line’s projected contribution is $411,499.
