The president of the faculty union at the State System of Higher Education told the Board of Governors on Thursday that he’s “relieved” that there are new contracts in place for teachers and coaches, and he saluted State System Chancellor Dan Greenstein for getting “down into the weeds” during the negotiations.
Dr. Kenneth Mash also praised faculty members for their ongoing work during the pandemic, and through many challenges such as the State System Redesign. Mash characterized many of his colleagues as being “stretched…to the limit” to survive.
The State System last week ratified the new four-year contract for both teachers and coaches.
