This week’s school board schedule kicks off with three meetings tomorrow, two of them full board meetings and one a key committee meeting.
At their voting meeting, Purchase Line’s board will consider the ICTC budget, of which the district’s share is more than $411,000. The extensive agenda also includes the hiring of two interim high school co-principals, Jessica Lindsay and Dawn Ambrisco; votes related to the ongoing review of about three dozen district policies; and an update on the district budget.
The Marion Center school board will hold a work session tomorrow night, with an agenda that includes the ICTC budget. Marion Center’s portion of the spending plan would be $757,361, an increase of more than $46,000 from this year’s budget. The board will also review motions for new band uniforms and new goal posts at the football stadium.
Indiana Area’s Buildings, Grounds, & Transportation Committee meets on Monday and will discuss the Eisenhower project, with an update from the Clerk of the Works. They’ll also have a discussion of the Horace Mann Repurposing, considering potential district and other uses. Other topics will include the Ben Franklin and East Pike playground walkways, an ESCO lighting study update, the replacing of stadium poles and lighting, daycare expansion at the Senior High, the Senior High Science classroom, an auxiliary building at East Pike, and maintenance updates.
