The PennDOT office of Public-Private Partnerships has announced that they will accept unsolicited proposals for transportation projects in the private sector.
This marks the first of two periods for the acceptance of P3 bids. This applies to PennDOT-owned projects, infrastructure and services, and they are looking for innovative ways to deliver transportation projects across a variety of modes, including roads, bridges, railroads, aviation and ports. Proposals can also include ways to more efficiently manage existing transportation services and programs.
The private sector can also submit applications for non-PennDOT owned assets to the P3 board for their review.
Proposals will be accepted now through the end of the month. For more details, interested parties can log on to the state’s P3 website.
