Indiana County will be under a few weather designations heading into the weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued another wind advisory for all of Indiana County, as well as neighboring Armstrong, Jefferson and Westmoreland counties, until seven o’clock Saturday morning. Winds are expected to blow in from the west at 20-to-25 miles per hour, with gusts expected to get up to 45 miles per hour. Winds are also expected to blow down tree limbs and power lines, which could result in power outages.
People are encouraged to report downed trees, limbs or power lines to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh on Facebook or X, or by calling 412-262-1988.
Along with the wind advisory, a flood warning is in effect until eight o’clock tonight for a portion of west central Indiana County. The National Weather Service did not specify which areas could be impacted by flooding.
