On Tuesday, the United School Board met and approved another agreement and purchase for the upcoming renovations at the district’s buildings.
The agreement was for Marmat Construction for $83,096 for general construction purposes for the elementary, Jr./Sr. High School and district office HVAC project. While Marmat submitted the only bid for the project, the bid will be formally accepted once it is reviewed by the district’s architect and the company has complied with all bid requirements. Superintendent Dr. Richard Lucas said that this was the final agreement to be made for the project, which is expected to be completed over the summer.
The other purchase that was made for 583 chairs for the high school auditorium to replace the ones currently in place.
The board also approved the ICTC operating budget, which comes to $7,711,332. United’s share of that budget is $508,929.
