While road work is underway on a project in White Township, the project will need to be extended into next week.
Work on Martin Road continues today until 3:00 and tomorrow from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, but the township has announced an additional day is needed, so they will resume work on Monday. Officials anticipate some bad weather on Thursday, and the crew is taking part in a training program on Friday.
Township crews are installing six drainage cross pipes between Fulton Run Road and Route 110 between Indiana and Creekside. Drivers are advised to give themselves some extra time for the commute, and to utilize the posted detours to go around the construction scene.
The road closure is not expected to impact morning or afternoon school bus traffic, and access to residences and businesses outside the work zone will not be affected.
