On Monday night, the Indiana School Board was updated on the progress of the Eisenhower project about a week after flood waters came through the county.
Board secretary Jared Cronauer said in his update that the crews were digging foundations and installing footers for the addition of a gymnasium, but water filled those holes, so they were unable to pour concrete. But he said that workers were able to pivot and work indoors.
In other business, the board approved a request for proposals for architectural services for work on a proposed renovation project for the childcare classroom at the Senior High, and approved hiring staffers to help out with the district’s summer school program.
