A road repair project will require a detour for drivers this week in northwestern White Township. A township road crew will install six drainage cross pipes on a 1.4-mile section of Martin Road between Fulton Run Road and Route 110. Traffic will be limited tomorrow while workers mill the road in preparation for the project. Drivers should expect possible momentary delays.
The road will be closed to through traffic from about 8:30 AM to 3 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday. The closing will not affect the morning and afternoon school bus runs. And local traffic to residences and businesses outside the work zone will be unaffected. Rain dates for the work are Thursday and Friday. Motorists should plan on extra time for traveling between the Indiana and Creekside areas.
Drivers should be prepared for delays on Route 422 for the next week as beams are delivered to the work site for the Margaret Intersection Improvement Project in Armstrong County. There could be delays between 7 AM and 7 PM daily from Tuesday through Friday, and next Monday and Tuesday.
The $25 million project to realign the intersection and install a two-span bridge and a box culvert is scheduled for completion in June of next year.
