The River Valley School Board will meet tonight and on the draft agenda is the adoption of a policy for out-of-district students to attend classes.
The policy will focus on children whose parents are district employees. Among the items in the policy are tuition rates for children, obtaining consent from the district of residence, and making sure that a student does not enroll specifically to take part in River Valley’s extracurricular or athletic activities.
Also coming before the board tonight is the purchase of a video display board for the River Valley Middle-High School Gymnasium at a cost not to exceed $78,300, and the hiring of a special education department chair.
The meeting will be held at the River Valley High School Auditorium tonight at 7:00, and will also be streamed on the district’s YouTube channel.
