Several sentencing hearings are scheduled to be held today in Indiana County Court, including one for a woman charged with drug-related crimes along with passing bad checks.
40-year-old Tiffany Anne Jackson of Pitcarin pleaded guilty to a bad checks charge in one case and faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver, and disorderly conduct for incidents that go back to February 9th of this year. Clymer police said they were investigating the bad check accusation when they came across Jackson looking for her cell phone she said she left at Tate’s Supermarket. Police noticed the smell of marijuana coming from her person and asked her if they could look in their backpack. They found inside a brick of heroin along with 20 stamp bags and two individual bags that contained a white powdery substance.
Her sentencing hearings are scheduled for this morning in front of Judge Michael Clark.
