PennDOT has announced the closure of two ramps for the second phase of a bridge project in White Township.
The second phase of the Two Lick Creek bridge rehabilitation project will begin tomorrow and continue through mid-January, and it will bring closures to the Route 119 North exit to Punxsutawney from the westbound lane of Route 422, and to the Route 422 East on-ramp from 119 North.
Motorists travelling on 422 West should use Exit A on 119 to Blairsville, then use the Exit A ramp to Ebensburg onto 422 East, and then use Exit B on 119 North to Punxsutawney. Those driving on 119 North should take the B Exit to Kittanning to the A Exit towards Blairsville onto 119 South, then take the Exit A to Ebensburg on 422 East.
This phase of work will consist of installing the remaining section of the new concrete deck and barrier along the bridge, and it will be performed by Palo Construction out of Clarion. The $9 million project is expected to wrap up sometime in 2024.
