On Wednesday night, the Penns Manor School Board approved an increase in salary for day-to-day support staff substitutes.
The increase in wages will bring the hourly rate to $13 an hour. Superintendent Daren Johnston called the raise an incentive for community members to come to the district and help out.
In other business, the board approved a new three-year agreement with Berger Office Systems for eighteen printers in the district and cancelling the current agreement with the company.
