Negotiations continued yesterday between the State System of Higher Education and APSCUF, the union representing its coaches.
While a new agreement on the coaches’ contract was not reached, there was some reported progress as teams discussed student feedback and issues related with consolidated universities. Both sides are scheduled to meet again to discuss the coaches’ contract on September 19th. Coaches will continue to work under the terms of the previous contract, which expired on June 30th.
Meanwhile, negotiation teams for both PASSHE and APSCUF will meet today for the start of a two-day negotiation session for the faculty contract. The last time the two sides met was on September 7th, and in that session, both sides discussed the retrenchment, evaluation and grievance process.
