Negotiations are scheduled to resume today between the State System of Higher Education and the union representing faculty at those institutions.
This comes after a three-day negotiation session between PASSHE and APSCUF that wrapped up on August 31st. Last time out, the negotiation teams discussed department chairs, retrenchment, issues at consolidated universities, student feedback, salary scales, tenure, the grievance process and faculty safety.
No word yet on what the two sides will discuss today. The current four-year contract expired on June 30th, but the faculty continue to work under the terms of the expired contract.
Meanwhile, APSCUF and PASSHE will also meet on September 11th to discuss the coaches’ contract. That contract also expired on June 30th.
