A Blairsville man could face drug-related charges in an investigation over the weekend. State police say on Saturday, the suspect, identified as a 34-year-old man from Blairsville, was stopped at the intersection of Villa and McKnight Roads for a general traffic offense. He was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and related paraphernalia and was suspected of driving under the influence at the time. He consented to a legal blood draw and was released pending the results of the blood tests.
A Latrobe man was charged with drug possession in connection with an incident in White Township on August 23rd. State police say that at 7:52 PM, they pulled over a vehicle for a summary traffic violation at the intersection of South 13th and Rose Streets. It was determined that the driver, 35-year-old Henry Eddington was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time, and was subsequently arrested. A search of the vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia items along with a baggy of suspected heroin.
