Several preliminary hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County’s District courts.
Among the preliminary hearings on the schedule are two for people currently serving time in Indiana County Jail. One hearing is for 29-year-old Zachary Collier is charged with two counts each of possession of a controlled substance-contraband, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia. This is connected with an investigation started on December 22nd of last year.
In the other incident, Kenneth Murphy of White Township is charged with misdemeanor simple assault, felony counts of assault by a prisoner on an employee and aggravated harassment by a prisoner and summary harassment for an incident on July 11th of this year.
The hearings are set for this afternoon at District Judge Christopher Welch’s office.
