The unofficial end of summer is coming up this weekend, and State Police is reminding everyone that they will be out on patrol to make sure everyone remains safe.
In a news release, state troopers say they will be out in full force on Pennsylvania highways starting tomorrow and going through Labor Day Monday. Troopers will specifically be on the lookout for aggressive, distracted and intoxicated drivers.
Statistics show that there were 648 vehicle accidents in Pennsylvania during the 2022 Labor Day Weekend period with six deaths and 180 injuries. More than 500 people were arrested for DUI that weekend.
Troopers remind everyone to stay safe this weekend and to not drink and drive.
