A woman charged with improperly caring for a care-dependent person is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing today.
35-year old Dinah Campbell is charged with misdemeanor counts of striking, shoving, kicking or attempting to threaten a care-dependent person; reckless endangerment and engaging in conduct that served no legitimate purpose in connection with an investigation that started July 10th. Indiana Borough Police were contacted that day by a disability service agency that Campbell swore at the alleged victim, described as a man over 60 years old, fed them in a manner that could have caused choking due to a medical condition, grabbed their arms roughly, and failed to help them as required between June 25th and July 2nd.
Campbell denied the allegations, but refused to answer questions from police until she had the chance to speak with an attorney.
The hearing is scheduled for 10:00 this morning in front of District Judge Guy Haberl.
