Work continues on the Cramer Pike Bridge in East Wheatfield Township this week.
PennDOT says that tomorrow there will be a nighttime closure in both directions on the busy four-lane Route 22 beneath the bridge between 11 PM and 5 AM. Eastbound drivers can take the Route 403 exit and cross over and reenter Route 22 on the ramp off 403. Westbound motorists will have a much longer interruption, entering Route 219 at Ebensburg, taking the Route 422 ramp off 219, and then traveling 422 through Strongstown all the way to the Route 119 ramp to Blairsville. You can also cut off at Route 259 to make your way to Route 56 in Brush Valley.
This phase of the bridge repair is scheduled to last through September 5th. The bridge was hit by a truck carrying an oversized load in 2018.
