With plenty of road work still going on in Indiana County, PennDOT is saying that three major projects are still on track to be completed by their deadlines.
PennDOT Community Relations Coordinator Christina Gibbs said that the Route 286/422 widening and paving project is in the final stages, and while they are still on target for completion by the end of this year, there is still a lot of work to do.
Meanwhile, nighttime paving operations have been reported on the Wayne Avenue Corridor between the on-ramp to Route 119 and the KCAC. They will wrap up by the end of September, and after the winter months, work will resume at a quick pace.
Meanwhile the bridge over Twolick Creek in Homer City remains closed for now, but the bridge is expected to be completely wrapped up in November, when it is scheduled to reopen.
Gibbs also said that the project managers are in contact with the school districts to keep them updated on the construction projects in case the construction affects a bus route.
