The Indiana County Commissioners this morning approved an adjustment to a previous Community Development Block Grant agreement that was made by the Office of Planning and Development on behalf of Center Township.
The contract modification will remove housing rehabilitation from the 2021 CDBG contract and put the $84,000 that was set aside towards the Coy Storm Sewer and Road Rehabilitation Project. Luann Zak with the Office of Planning and Development said that this was being done as they didn’t know if the Coy project would qualify for CDBG funding, as there was a delay in getting all the survey data for that was needed.
Zak added that Center Township is also using 2022 and planning to use 2023 funding for the project. When the 2023 contract is received and final approval is made for the 2021 funding, the project will be put out for bid. She anticipates the project starting next year.
In other business, the commissioners approved three change orders. Two of them are connected with the Glen Campbell Borough Water System Improvement Project, and the other is for the renovation of the ICCAP foodbank warehouse.
