The Homer-Center School Board will meet tonight to discuss motions to prepare for the first day of school next week.
Up for approval are contracts with Turner Dairy for the dairy vendor and Hershey’s Ice Cream for the ice cream vendor, approving teachers to act as mentors for some new hires, and hiring several district employees.
The board will also look to approve a bid for the high school auditorium light project. Also on the draft agenda for tonight are two Memorandums of Understanding with the Homer-Center Education Association. One is for two full day and one half day Long-Term Substitutes for the next year. The other is for the supplemental director of bands position to be split to three different supplemental positions: Director of Bands, Director of Indoor Competition Band and Director of Marching/Competition band.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 tonight at the Homer-Center Board Room.
