Wednesday morning, Indiana County Commissioners rejected all the bids submitted for the Pedestrian-Bike bridge in Burrell Township.
The proposed bridge would be a connector for part of the Hoodlebug Trail on the trail’s southern end to connect it to Blairsville and other areas of Burrell Township. Byron Stauffer with the Office of Planning and Development said that the bids came in over budget.
He said that they will look at the project specifications before moving forward.
In other business related to the Hoodlebug Trail, the Commissioners approved two easements located in Center Township. One is a People’s Gas pipeline to supply natural gas to the renewable gas facility at the 119 Business Park in Center Township, and the other is for Air Liquide Advanced Technologies for the pipeline that would supply the People’s Gas Connector for the natural gas coming out of the facility. In both cases, any ground near the trail that will be disturbed must be restored to the county’s specifications.
