On Tuesday, the United School Board voted to reassign some duties of one its board members.
The board voted to remove Hunter Overdorff as the District’s Legislative Chairperson and as the Chair of Finance effective August 8th after they were informed that he spread quote, “confidential personnel information,” that according to board president Eric Matava.
Matava added that several attempts were made to let Overdorff know of the discussion, but the board received no answer.
Overdorff claims he was never contacted by any school board member, and that these actions stem from several disagreements he and Matava shared in the past.
The board then voted to appoint Dan Henning and Aaron Conway to the respective positions.
In other business, the board approved hiring Donald Bowers as the district’s Director of Education at an annual salary of $102,000 effective December 4 or pending the release from his current employer.
