Those travelling in the vicinity of Vinegar Hill over the next two weeks will see several goats on the hillside. That’s part of an effort to improve the landscaping in the area.
Starting today, a herd of goats from Caprious, LLC, will munch away on the plants along the hillside until August 18th. The reasons the goats are being brought in are that they are more affordable than hiring a landscaper and it will be safer as the goats can navigate the hill, and that their work will be more environmentally-friendly. Borough Manager Nicole Sipos details how the work will be accomplished.
People are invited to watch the goats at work, but to not pet or feed the goats and to stay off private property while watching the goats.
