NIGHT PAVING TO BEGIN MONDAY ON OAKLAND AVENUE, INDIAN SPRINGS ROAD

Nighttime paving begins tomorrow evening along Oakland Avenue and Indian Spring Road in White Township.

Between Monday night and August 18th, fresh asphalt will be laid between 7 PM and 7 AM between the Route 422 ramps beyond Walmart and Rustic Lodge Road, and Indian Springs Road will also be repaved. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zones.

The work is part of the $19.83 million Route 286/Route 422 widening and resurfacing project, which is scheduled for completion in December.

The long-awaited bike-pedestrian bridge across Route 22 is now open! What do you think?

I love it! It will help bring more economic activity to Indiana County!
I love it! It's much needed for the safety of folks to link the trails and access both sides of that busy highway.
I love it for both of the reasons listed above (as long as they maintain it.)
It's not going to be the economic boon they're saying it will be.
Not enough people will use it to have an effect on safety.
It will not be maintained and will fall into disuse rather quickly.
