Pennsylvania residents are being asked to offer comment on a five-year plan concerning the expansion of internet access.
It was announced that the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment program will distribute $42.45 billion across the United States along with the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico for broadband deployment, mapping and adoption projects. $1.16 billion of which will go to Pennsylvania. The initial proposal is due on December 27th of this year.
To help comply with requirements, the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority has an open comment period that will end at 5 PM on August 8th that will allow the public to comment on the five-year plan.
