High school students are being sought for a statewide young ambassadors program through PennDOT and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.
The program will give high schoolers in grades 10 to 12 with opportunities to train and network with industry leaders, state agencies, local media and the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Network with the goals of increasing leadership and problem-solving skills and prepare them to continue to make differences in their communities and beyond. Chosen candidates will commit to serve as an Ambassador from October 2023 through May 2024 and will attend 6 mandatory virtual education sessions; conduct a community assessment and a summary presentation; and organizing and taking part in one community clean up event. Non-mandatory education sessions from a variety of topics. This marks the second year of the program.
