A Northern Cambria man is due in court today for a status conference for his case where he was charged with drug possession in 2019.
41-year-old Troy Bingaman faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver, misbranding a controlled substance, driving without a license or without proper valid inspection. The charges go back to August 15th of 2019, when he was pulled over by police near Franklin and Elm Streets in Clymer. When police searched his vehicle, they found a backpack that had 20 stamp bags of suspected heroin, a bag of meth, Klonopin pills, a cell phone, a meth pipe, a digital scale, an “owe sheet” and other drug paraphernalia items. A woman from Northern Cambria was in the car with him and she said that she also had drug paraphernalia items on her.
Jury selection for his trial is scheduled for August 21st.
